CEF first Tuesdays
Leaders Luncheon
Our Leaders Luncheon speaker for TUESDAY, October 3rd, is Senator Loren Lippincott! Senator Lippincott, a fifth generation Nebraskan, farmer, and veteran, grew up on the Lippincott family farm a few miles north of Central City, and he lives on that same farm today. In high school, he was the class president, student body president, athletic club president, and a four-year letter winner in sports. He attended UNL, and his freshman year he walked on the football team as a defensive back. It was Tom Osborne’s first year as head coach of the Cornhuskers.
He worked his way through college while taking a full class load. He worked for Secretary of State Allen Beermann and served two years as a page in the Legislature. He worked at KOLN-TV and was a disc jockey at KBHL-FM. He eventually joined the US Air Force, attended pilot training school, finishing near the top of his class, and was selected to return as an instructor. After three years, he was awarded first choice for duty assignment as an F-16 pilot and was stationed at Ramstein Air Bae in Germany where he was his squadron’s overall Top Gun. After 10 years in the Air Force, he was honorably discharged and joined Delta Air Lines as a commercial pilot from which he retired after a 30-year career. He serves as now as a Senator for the 24th District of Nebraska. You certainly won’t want to miss this luncheon and hear Senator Lippincott share how his faith in Christ inspires him in navigating leadership both personally and professionally, in the past, as well as today. We look forward to seeing you! RSVP TODAY!
