Christian Youth in Action (CYIA)

What is CYIA?

Christian Youth in Action exists to develop LEADERS by challenging students to GROW in their relationship with Jesus and to TRAIN AND EQUIP them to share the GOSPEL with children in their community.

CYIA is an intense training program. It’s designed for those who want to be developed into Christian leaders. The leadership skills developed at CYIA can be used in all of life.

Spiritual growth comes as a result of being challenged in your faith. CYIA students are stretched in a safe environment. They are able to explore their faith in a powerful way.

Train & Equip

The CYIA training is full of classes, coaching, small group discussions, practicing and passing practicums. By the end of the week, they will be equipped to share the Gospel in the context of a Summer Good News Club.

CYIA begins and ends with the Gospel. Starting with the first day of classes, each track explores the Gospel in a different way. Every student will be involved in sharing the Gospel during their summer.

CYIA Nebraska 2024 Theme: [if]

The [IF] theme for CYIA 2024 centers on the pivotal choice to seek God. Anchored in 2 Chronicles 15:2, ‘[If] you seek Him, He will be found by you,’ this theme challenges us to actively pursue God’s presence in our lives. While salvation comes through belief in the Lord Jesus (Acts 16:31), the depth of our experience with God hinges on our willingness to embrace His journey for us.

[IF] we open ourselves to be used by Him, our lives will be profoundly challenged and transformed. [IF] we seek His ministry, He will utilize our willingness for His purpose. This summer, we are excited to see how God will work in and through us. The defining question for CYIA 2024 is whether we will answer His call.

The journey depends on our response to this powerful [IF].
