What is CYIA?
Christian Youth in Action exists to develop LEADERS by challenging students to GROW in their relationship with Jesus and to TRAIN AND EQUIP them to share the GOSPEL with children in their community.
LEADERS
CYIA is an intense training program designed to develop Christian leaders, equipping them with leadership skills applicable to all areas of life.
Grow
Spiritual growth flourishes when faith is challenged, and CYIA provides a safe environment for students to be stretched and explore their faith in powerful ways.
Train & Equip
The CYIA training, filled with classes, coaching, small group discussions, and practicums, equips students by the end of the week to confidently share the Gospel during a Summer GNC.
GOSPEL
CYIA begins and ends with the Gospel, as each track explores it uniquely from the first day of classes, preparing every student to share the Gospel during their summer.

CYIA NEBRAKSA TRAININGS: Omaha / Lincoln / Tri-Cities
CYIA OMAHA
May 24 – May 30, 2026
CYIA Omaha started in 2004 at Camp Moses Merrill with 11 students. It has since grown and now meets at Twin Lakes Bible Camp in Manson, IA. Esther Beasley & Brandon Shippy, the full time CEF Omaha staff, have been leading this training for the past six years. For more information, click the link below.
CYIA LINCOLN
May 24 – May 30, 2026
CYIA Lincoln is offers localized training for the Lincoln area. Jonathan Musgrave, CEF State Director, and Guillermo Gonzalez, Lincoln coordinator, will lead the 2026 training in Lincoln, NE. For more details, click the link below.
CYIA Tri-Cities
May 31 – June 6, 2026
CYIA Tri-Cities is another localized training for the Grand Island, Hastings and Kearney area. Mike & Autumn Pena will be heading this training, both are passionate and capable leaders. We’re looking forward to what God would have for the Nebraska Tri-Cities area!
CYIA North Impact (CYIA MODIFIED TRAINING)
WANT TO STEP INTO SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER?
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Nebraska excited to announce CYIA North Impact, a dynamic training program for those eager to positively influence children’s lives with the Gospel in a summer camp setting. This initiative offers an immersive ministry experience spanning the entire summer, allowing participants to step away from their usual home surroundings. In this environment, both children and students are spiritually nurtured and challenged weekly, creating an ideal atmosphere for fostering spiritual development, while using their Christian Youth in Action training and their deepened understanding of the Gospel.
CYIA NORTH IMPACT FULL INFO:
Dates: May 17-21, 2026
Cost: $200.00 ($50.00 deposit, non-refundable, materials cost / $150.00 training cost)
Camp Assurance Partnership: All training costs (training, food & board) up to $150.00 covered if involved in summer ministry the following two weeks: May 26-29 and June 1-4. Talk with Shannon Arduser for more information.
CYIA Nebraska 2026 theme: Pursue
OVERFLOW
The theme for CYIA 2026 is “Pursue,” from 1 Timothy 6:11: “Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.” Following Jesus isn’t something that just happens to you. It’s something you go after. It means choosing what matters to Him and letting that shape who you’re becoming.
CYIA invites you into that kind of pursuit. The training week is intense in the best way. You’ll engage in classes, practice teaching, study hard, and be challenged in ways that help you grow. When hits, and you’ll step into real ministry—sharing the Gospel with kids, leading clubs, praying with families, and seeing God work through you. It takes effort and courage, and some days will stretch you. But it’s worth it. Pursuing Christ in this ministry doesn’t just change the kids you reach. It changes you.
