Support TRACK RESOURCES

Welcome to CEF Nebraska Support Track 2026!

This is your first year and introduction to Christian Youth in Action training! CYIA is all about the Gospel. You are encouraged do some Scripture memory prior to CYIA training to make the most of your training experience.

ASSISTANT TRACK RESOURCES

Welcome to CEF Nebraska Assistant Track 2026!

During your first year at CYIA, you will be enrolled in the assistant track program, which aims to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to assist at a Summer Good News Club (SGNC). As with all CYIA training, the central focus of the program is to learn and share the Gospel with others at a SGNC. In this program, you will learn how to open a SGNC, teach a Gospel-centered verse, narrate a missionary story using links to the Word Up!, lead interactive games and songs, and understand how to guide a child towards accepting Christ using the Wordless book. This week-long program is packed with valuable information and experiences.

The assistant track pre-CYIA study materials have three key components: (1) memorizing Gospel-centered verses, (2) studying the memory verses featured in this year’s SGNC curriculum, and (3) gaining a foundational understanding of the missionary story for this year. By utilizing the resources provided below, you can maximize the impact of your training at CYIA. Devoting your full effort to these study tools will enable you to fully engage with the classes, training, practice sessions, and skill development available during the week-long training.

IMPORTANT: During CYIA registration when you arrive, you will (1) need to sign a statement affirming you have completed all the CYIA pre-training requirements (or bring the study sheet!), (2) be asked to recite up to three of the verses, (3) checked to confirm your missionary story content quizzes have been completed. We believe these are requirements are necessary to have a more successful week of training at CYIA.

God’s blessings on your study!

    TEACHER TRACK RESOURCES

Welcome to CEF Nebraska Teacher Track 2026!

During your second and third years at CYIA you transition into the Teacher Track. The Teacher Track is designed to build on the foundational skills acquired in the Assistant Track. As part of this program, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the Wordless Book and learn how to incorporate the Gospel truths into a Bible lesson. Each lesson is carefully crafted to present the Gospel message in its entirety and offer an invitation for children to respond. This week of training is an intensive and rewarding experience.

To ensure you make the most of your time in the Teacher Track at CYIA, it is essential to prepare with the right study materials beforehand. Your pre-CYIA study materials will focus on three key elements: (1) memorizing Gospel-centered verses, (2) thoroughly reading and studying each Bible story, and (3) acquiring a foundational understanding of this year’s missionary story and (4) becoming familiar with the Bible lessons for this year. We believe that the resources provided below will help you maximize the impact of your training at CYIA. By giving your full effort to each of these study tools, you will be better equipped to engage with the classes, training sessions, practice sessions, and skill development opportunities available during the week-long training.

IMPORTANT: During CYIA registration when you arrive, you will (1) need to sign a statement affirming you have completed all the CYIA pre-training requirements (or bring the study sheet!) for Teacher Track, (2) be asked to recite up to three of the verses, (3) checked to confirm your missionary story content quizzes have been completed, and (4) review your Bible lesson devotionals to see if they are completed. We believe these requirements are necessary to have a more successful week of training at CYIA.

      ADVANCED TRACK RESOURCES

Welcome to CEF Nebraska Advanced Track 2026!

In your fourth and fifth years at CYIA, you will transition into the Advanced Track, which is designed to shift the focus from skills development to leadership development. While you will review and refine the skills acquired in the previous tracks, the primary focus will be on developing your leadership abilities. As part of this program, you will learn how to effectively lead the Summer Good News Club environment, build meaningful connections with hosts, work more closely with the office staff, and coach and disciple younger SGNC teachers to help them grow both personally and spiritually. The Advanced Track experience is much different from the previous tracks and is geared towards empowering you to become a capable and confident leader in your ministry.

Due to the shift in focus and the increased level of responsibility in the Advanced Track, it is crucial for you to complete the pre-CYIA training requirements thoroughly and to the best of your ability. In addition to the standard study materials, we ask that you come prepared with a marked-up Bible that includes all application links and relevant verses. We also recommend that you practice each lesson multiple times, ideally out loud, prior to arriving at CYIA. This will enable you to refine your teaching skills during the training rather than spending time learning the lessons themselves.

IMPORTANT: During CYIA registration when you arrive, you will (1) need to sign a statement affirming you have completed all the CYIA pre-training requirements (or bring the study sheet!) for Advanced Track, (2) be asked to recite up to three of the verses, (3) checked to confirm your missionary story content quizzes have been completed, (4) review your Bible lesson devotionals to see if they are completed, and (5) check to see if your Bible has been prepared to present each lesson, in whatever way you feel most comfortable. We believe these requirements are necessary to have a more successful week of training at CYIA.
