GOOD NEWS CLUB
Good News Club is a weekly, after-school Bible club that meets in public elementary schools. Through engaging Bible lessons, small groups, and games, we evangelize children with the Gospel and help them grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Because GNCs meet consistently throughout the school year, they are perfect opportunities for long-term discipleship.
Designed to partner with the local church, Good News Club equips churches to effectively disciple children inside nearby schools. CEF provides quarterly trainings, club materials, and ongoing support needed to reach students and help establish them in a local church.
SUMMER GOOD NEWS CLUB
Summer Good News Clubs are action-packed Bible clubs for children ages 4–11. Each club includes games, evangelistic Bible lessons, songs, prizes, and snacks. Clubs typically run 90 minutes a day for four consecutive days and are flexible for a variety of settings.
These clubs are hosted by individuals or churches and can be held anywhere children gather. Led by students trained at Christian Youth In Action, these clubs help disciple children in God’s Word and connect them to a local church to establish them in ongoing spiritual growth.
CHRISTIAN YOUTH IN ACTION
Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) is a life-changing summer missions and training program for students ages 11-17. Beginning with an intensive week of training, students are equipped through interactive classes and hands-on coaching to clearly share the Gospel, develop leadership skills, and serve in their communities.
Through CYIA, students are trained to teach Summer Good News Clubs, where they present Bible lessons, lead activities, and build relationships with children while growing in their own faith. As they serve, they evangelize children with the Gospel and disciple them in the Word of God.
Each club is hosted by a sponsoring church (or members of a church), creating meaningful opportunities for families to be established in a local church near them.

We’ve been assigned a great work and we could do so much more if we had one more person – just one more – helping us reach Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day. That person is you!
Serving the Local Church
Our goal is to serve alongside pastors to accomplish the vision and mission of their local church. Pastor/teachers and evangelists were given to the local church “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:11-12)

CEF Lincoln Chapter is part of the largest ministry to children in the world. We are non-denominational and Bible-centered. Our mission is to reach children with the Good News of Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God and help establish them in local churches.
Our Vision: To provide each elementary age child in the Lincoln / Lancaster County an opportunity to hear of and respond to saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Our Goal: To reach 5,000 children in the next 5 years.
Celeste Hellbusch | Local Coordinator
Celeste was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She previously worked as a caregiver for the elderly and as an RBT Supervisor, teaching behavioal and social skills to children with autism. Through these roles, she developed a deep appreciation for patience, intentionality, and celebrating growth — no matter how small. She is excited to step into full-time ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) as their Ministry Coordinator and continues to seek other ways to serve the local body of Christ!
Since coming to faith, Celeste’s heart for people continues to grow as she better understands the magnitude of God’s grace toward her. As her relationship with Christ deepens, so does her desire to serve others and reflect His love. She believes people are eternally valuable, and her motivation in ministry stems from the truth that God’s Kingdom is built through relationships — with Him and with others. Celeste is grateful for any opportunity to serve, especially through ministry, music, and event planning.
